PROCESS
As a project concept, we wanted to develop the house on a single floor, emphasizing and prioritizing the direct relationship of the interior with the exterior. Having as a conditioning factor the configuration of the land – long and narrow – the proposed volumetric form, while responding to the client’s requirements in terms of interior spaces, seeks to prioritize thermal and spatial comfort at every moment.
The most social and private areas of the house were separated, choosing to bring the open space area – consisting of a dining room, living room and kitchen – closer to the entrance area. The remaining spaces, namely the bedrooms area, is located on the opposite side of the entrance and the social área is closed in relation to it.
The terrain has a slope of approximately 1.50 m in relation to the street level and, since the main concept is the development of a house on a single floor, it is observed that the housing (namely the bedroom area) is apparently suspended and elevated from the original terrain, which was sought to be maintained, reducing the intervention in terms of earthmoving and the contact of the building with the ground.
In terms of cladding materials, it was decided to make the facades in Etics System in white, which matches in chromatic terms with the neighboring houses. In order to highlight the highest volume of the entrance, it was decided to coat it with phenolic composite in Wengue shade. In terms of fence walls, the proposal seeks to maintain the existing walls.
In this way, the proposed housing relates to his surroundings by the use, mostly residential, by the height, by the distances and, finally, by the chromatic uniformity proposed through the coatings.
The entire social space, oriented to the south, is endowed with a good solar incidence, and has a direct relationship with the outdoor terrace. From the social area, the internal path unfolds towards the more private area where the two bedrooms with private bathrooms and the suite with dressing room and accessible private bathroom are located. In addition to the sleeping area, it is also possible to access the living room/office and the laundry room, both with direct access to the outside. The have a direct relationship with the outside and a view of the pool and garden.
Program: Interior garage; entrance hall; service toilet; open space with kitchen, living room and dining room; living room/office; laundry; two bedrooms each with private sanitary installation; a suite with accessible sanitary installation and closet; outdoor pool.
