PROCESS

This project refers to the construction of a two floor single family residential building. The surrounding area is mainly made of single-family homes, the majority of which have 2 floors. The proposal follows the premise of integrating into its urban context, valuing its integration into the ensemble and contributing to the design of a more cohesive and contemporary urban framework.

The implementation of the proposal seeks to take advantage of the extension of the land, enabling the creation of leisure spaces with good solar incidence, obtaining thermal and energy benefits.

The proposal is developed on two floors, with a clear distinction between social and private spaces, but which communicate with each other through the relationships that are established between the different experiences of living. Both pedestrian and automobile access to the house is via the street that borders the front of the house.

On the 1st floor, the proposal emphasizes the opening of the interior social space to the outside, with a grass area, wooden deck and swimming pool. These three moments are related and value the comfort inside the home and the enjoyment of the surrounding outdoor space. An annex and a garage were also proposed on the ground floor. On the 2nd floor, the rooms also benefit from this indoor/outdoor relationship, through the creation of balconies.
