PROCESS
The present project consists of a single-family residential building with a single floor at ground level and follows the desire of the clients who wanted an “L” shaped house in order to make the most of the land in question.
The house consists of a single T3 dwelling, and it is intended to serve as permanent housing.
The implantation is designed based on the alignments of the neighboring buildings at west and east, creating, as already mentioned, an “L” shape that extends to the south, taking advantage of the extension of the land, the existing wall and gables, and the polygon develops along this length. Taking into account the design in this way, the social and intimate parts of the house were intuitively separated.
The placement of the proposed polygon in continuity with the neighboring existing buildings, reinforcing the urban integration of the proposal, and its extension to the south guarantees good use of the land. The proposed house, aims to free up outdoor space to the south and west, enabling the creation of large outdoor green spaces for leisure.
The proposal seeks to respond to a contemporary architectural language that emerges and respects existing alignments and volumes. The aim is to design habitable spaces that make the most of sun exposure, which consequently provides thermal and energy benefits to the home. This is possible through the back of the house to the eastern limit, which allows greater sun exposure to the south.
In summary, it can be said that the building has a lighter language, with canopies, and with more significant sun exposure for the garden area, and a more closed language for the street. The entire building covering is designed using the ETICS system with green plaster.
