The clients of this project are a couple with a son, who wanted to live in close proximity to each other, but always ensuring privacy for both families. The reconstruction of this building was the ideal opportunity to realise this idea and, in the process, completely renew the style of the architecture they inhabited.

Initially, the plot featured a two-storey house with an open space on its rear. In order to meet the client’s particular requirements, the best way to meet the expectations was to reinterpret the existing building, increasing both its height and depth. Amongst the difficulties of this project, the following stood out: the layout of the garage and access to it, the framing of the proposal within the framework of legality; in addition to the positioning of the vertical accesses and their articulation with the rest of the floors, trying to guarantee at all times the absolute privacy of each floor.

The result speaks for itself, a functional, multi-purpose and stylish building that far exceeds what our clients had imagined. Two complete flats on the upper floors, a 4 bedroom flat on the 1st floor and a 3 bedroom flat on the 2nd floor, which have communal spaces for collective enjoyment on the ground floor. In terms of design, the proposal seeks to formally integrate itself into its urban context, but at the same time be architecturally independent. Dominant lines are adopted, thus achieving a formal homogeneity in the block, and it differentiates itself in style with the use of colour and materiality achieved through lattices and tiles, which gives it a contemporary feel.
