SHARE PROJECT
PROCESS
The purpose of this urban development project is to construct a single-storey, single-family dwelling at ground level, with a south-facing ‘U’-shaped layout, designed to make the most of the site’s natural features, sitting almost directly on the ground and facing south towards the expanse of land, towards the existing medium and large trees, and thus taking advantage of the thermal and lighting benefits of this solar orientation.
The proposal stems from the client’s desire for a contemporary single-storey house that would make the most of the site and would not be defined by a “box-like” volume or an excessively extensive and
continuous form, which is why they valued a certain twist in the built volumes. Added to this was a preference for the materiality of exposed concrete and a defined programme which, rather than merely reflecting a way of living, also incorporated, within the organisation of that programme, a dialogue with leisure and recreational activities to be carried out outdoors.
