This architectural proposal is intended for the construction of a single-family residential building on a single floor at ground level.
The building consists of a single three-bedroom apartment, intended to serve as a permanent residence. Following the applicants’ design for a single-floor rectangular dwelling, the proposal sought to occupy the maximum width of the lot, maintaining only the lateral setbacks. The building consists of a single floor in a rectangular shape divided into a social part and a private part. This separation is achieved inside by the hinged space that forms the entrance hall.
Towards the entrance, on the right are the social areas of the kitchen and living room, in an open space, with a large glass window facing the property’s patio and pool area and a small enclosed private patio with overhead light. To the left of the entrance, there is a corridor leading to the service toilet and the office, as well as a secondary, more intimate corridor leading to the private part of the house, namely the suite and the two bedrooms.
In order to ensure greater solar gain, the internal organisation of the building was taken into account, seeking to open all the habitable spaces to the courtyard and the swimming pool.
The land is located in a context marked by its urbanity and with single-family single-storey homes scattered along the stretch of street where the object of this application is located, which has a very steep slope from the street.
Access, both by foot and by car, is without any obstacles, with the pedestrian path being level and the car path being ramped with paving in yellow granite cubes. Both routes allow connection to the exterior entrance space.
