This project refers to a multi-family residential building, located in Canidelo, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, which has a land area of 2649.00 m². This is intended for the construction of a building for residential use of apartments. The building consists of 5 floors above ground level, with the top floor being set back, and two underground floors, the basement and sub-basement, intended for parking for the respective apartments.
In the proposal presented, the building seeks the height and dominant alignments of the surroundings without compromising its framing in relation to the nearby building.
The predominant concept of the project is the alliance of a contemporary material such as concrete with green elements that highlight the predominant horizontal features of the building. The volume was designed with the advances and retreats of the balconies in order to create an interesting and useful architectural rhythm for its future residents. The top floor stands out from the rest only in its geometry and with the aim of breaking the predominant geometric game created, highlighting this floor with a more “clean” layout.
The project seeks to offer its future inhabitants an abundance of outdoor spaces that allow constant contact with the outside and with nature, reinforcing the quality of life promoted by this type of design and greater solar utilization and consequent thermal and energy benefits.
