The clients of this project have always wanted to live in a single-storey house that has a strong connection with nature. They longed for a house that would convey tranquillity, and have a modern, ethereal style. The plot of land on which the works were to be carried out had no pre-existing buildings as this was a new construction project. Its topography had only a slight slope, which was not a difficulty for the type of house our clients wanted.

The approach to the plan was to create a clear separation between public and private spaces, with a plan that would free up sufficient area for the gardens belonging to the property and ensure good sun exposure. The social part was placed next to the northern boundary of the property, leaving the open-space oriented to the south, and the private part separate on the other side, giving priority to sunset lighting. All these rooms open to the outside through large windows, enjoying views of the pool and a panorama of the land. The rest of the plan was placed at the back of the bedrooms, creating an unmistakable main façade that plays with the distance between its volumes and the contrast of its materials.

The resulting architecture is a house that conveys a high sense of lightness thanks to its volumetric configuration. The set of elements that make up the plan are enveloped by a shaft that rests delicately on them, but which robustly protects them from the elements. To reinforce this protective atmosphere, the interior spaces are clad in strong materials and soft tones, which, together with a series of warm light points, give the final touch to this proposal.
